How much is it to rent chairs for a wedding?

The Cost Breakdown
Weddings are all about you, your perfect day, and bringing your dream day to life. One of the primary aesthetic considerations for every wedding is the chair.
What type: There are a variety of chairs and seating options, including metal chairs, plastic folding chairs, resin folding chairs, Chiavari chairs, cross-back chairs, and even wooden benches.
Pricing: As of January 2026, Event Rent Maine offers three chair options: metal, plastic, and resin. Our metal chair is priced at $2.50; our plastic chairs are priced at $5.00; and our resin chairs are priced at $7.00 per chair. We will be expanding our inventory throughout the year, so if we don't have your dream chair, let us know, and it might be in our budget and roadmap!
How Many: How many chairs you need depends on how many guests you'll be having at your special day. The question to ask is, do you want your guests to carry their chairs from the reception area to the dining area, or do you need to order 2x the number of guests?
Estimating the number of tables: Some couples will order additional banquet tables for gifts, the sweetheart table, or the buffet. To estimate based on your guest count, and to start planning your seating arrangement appropriately, these are the rough numbers of chairs per table:
- 8 chairs per 5ft round table
- 8-10 chairs per 8ft banquet table
- 6-8 chairs per 6ft banquet table
Delivery & Setup: As of January 2026, Event Rent Maine currently only offers delivery services. Our delivery services are some of the cheapest in the industry, especially as you get closer to our hometown, Winthrop. The price is calculated at checkout based on the delivery address, but starts at just $49.
We also offer setup services, which we will price according to the equipment. Our standard rate, including tents, tables, and chairs, is $199 for setup and teardown. It often goes down in price when clients decide not to add a tent to their order.
Custom Quote: We're one of the few in the industry with transparent pricing. You can check out online without ever calling me, Becca. However, I'd love to hear from you and work the plan over to make sure everything is going to be perfect.
